And honestly, with a name like Obsidian Beast, she was never going to be delicate.
This one is all about protection, grounding and strength — a broom made for holding your space, keeping your feet firmly on the ground and taking absolutely no shit.
At its centre is a huge obsidian tower, a volcanic glass that has become deeply associated within modern witchcraft with protection, grounding and clearing away unwanted energy.
Around it, I’ve worked dried sage and rosemary — two plants with long histories of use around cleansing and protection, and frankly two absolute staples in my own witchy cupboard.
Then we have the Star tarot charm, bringing a slightly different energy into all that darkness — hope, renewal and finding your way forward even when things feel a little bit shit.
And finally, hematite and tiger’s eye crystal chips, chosen for their associations with grounding, courage, confidence and protection.
Everything about this broom is intentionally strong and earthy. There’s no delicate lunar energy or soft romantic whimsy here.
She is basically a very large, very witchy fuck around and find out.
